Little League Welcomes Its 2026 Intern Class
Little League International named 21 students to its 2026 summer intern class on June 5. They join the organization at its 72-acre South Williamsport headquarters ahead of the Little League Baseball World Series presented by T-Mobile.
These students represent 13 departments across the organization. Each one will spend roughly 14 weeks on hands-on work before the World Series championship on August 30. Background clearance, including Pennsylvania state checks, is mandatory for every role.
The program runs every summer and also offers semester-length placements throughout the year. Recruitment for the following summer typically opens in mid-September, and positions fill before winter ends.
What Each Department Does at LLWS

Emergency Management
Supports crowd safety and risk management for a 40,000-seat stadium and 72-acre complex. Interns assist with venue risk assessments, incident response planning, and tournament-week safety coordination. Preferred field: Emergency Management or Public Safety.
Human Resources
The largest internship department with three interns. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, policy compliance, and workforce coordination for year-round and seasonal staff. Ideal for Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior students.
Softball
Supports Little League’s softball division under the Director of Softball Development. The role is remote-eligible but requires attendance at the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina (July 26-August 11). Open to female student-athletes and students interested in sports careers.
Sponsorship and Marketing
Works with major partners such as T-Mobile, ESPN, adidas, Gatorade, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Capital One, and New Era Cap. Interns assist with sponsor activations, digital performance tracking, and tournament marketing initiatives.
Graphic Design
Supports creation of print and digital assets, including tournament materials, sponsor content, and broadcast graphics. A portfolio is required for all creative-track applicants.
Legal
Assists with contract drafting, legal research, trademark matters, policy reviews, and litigation support. Interns earn $20-$22/hour, higher than the standard $18 rate. Applicants must be enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school.
Digital Media
Focuses on creating and publishing content across Little League’s digital platforms before and during the World Series. Interns gain hands-on experience managing high-visibility content campaigns.
Media Relations
Coordinates media communications, journalist credentials, and press operations for international coverage of the World Series.
Social Media
Manages real-time content publishing, audience engagement, and performance reporting during tournament events.
Merchandise
Supports product planning, inventory management, and retail operations for stadium stores and licensed merchandise. Suitable for students in Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or Sports Business.
Video
Assists with game coverage, event documentation, and short-form digital content production. Preferred fields include Film, Broadcast Journalism, and Media Production.
Information Technology
Provides Tier 1 network support, incident resolution, and technology operations during high-traffic tournament periods. Best suited for IT and related computing students.
Landscape and Sports Turf
Maintains the grounds and playing surfaces across the entire complex from early May through tournament season, ensuring professional field conditions throughout the event.

How Past Little League Interns Built Real Careers
Little League’s own career page confirms that past interns have landed at Major League Baseball organizations and college athletic departments.
Mo’ne Davis is one known example. She threw the first shutout by a girl at the LLWS in 2014. She later interned with the Los Angeles Dodgers on their video production team and is now targeting a front office role.
Sponsors like T-Mobile, adidas, and ESPN sit behind this program. That brand exposure on a resume carries the weight that few college-level internships can offer.
Want to Intern at Little League in 2027?
Applications open mid-September 2026 at LittleLeague.org/Careers and TeamWorkOnline.com. Set a job alert on both platforms. Positions fill before winter ends.

Graphic Design, Video, and Digital Media roles require a portfolio. Legal requires active ABA law school enrollment. All other departments are open to college students across all fields.
Students needing housing should target Landscape or Sports Turf first. Free on-site accommodation is available there, which no other department offers.
Conclusion
Little League International runs one of the few paid sports internships where students work a globally broadcast event from day one. The 2026 class of 21 interns across 13 departments reflects how wide the program actually reaches, from field maintenance to legal research to live video production.
Pay sits at $18 per hour for most roles. Legal interns earn up to $22. Sports Turf and Landscape interns get free on-site housing, a benefit that sets this program apart from most entry-level sports opportunities.
