How the 2026 LLWS Bracket Format Works
The 2026 Little League World Series uses a double-elimination format. One loss does not end a team’s tournament. Every team gets a second chance, making the race to the championship more competitive throughout both brackets.

You move into the winner’s side of the bracket and stay there until your first loss of the tournament.
🔁Lose Your First Game
You drop to the loser’s bracket but stay alive. A second loss ends your run in Williamsport.
US Bracket Champion
The 10 US regional winners play through their own bracket to crown one US Champion.
🌍International Bracket Champion
The 10 international regional winners play through a separate bracket for their own champion.
The U.S. and International champions do not meet until the World Championship Game. The winner of that matchup claims the 2026 Little League World Series title.

Championship Path
The US bracket and the International bracket never meet until the very end. Each side runs its own double-elimination draw to crown a bracket champion first.
The US Championship and International Championship games will be played on August 29. The two bracket winners meet for the World Series Championship Game on August 30 at Howard J. Lamade Stadium, airing on ABC.
